If you want bold, balanced coffee in under three minutes, the AeroPress is your new secret weapon. It’s fast, consistent, and shockingly forgiving—perfect for brewing everything from our French Vanilloutine to our Cacao-razy.

Forget the drama of espresso machines or the sludge of a French press. The AeroPress delivers clean, complex coffee with none of the bitterness. It’s the easiest way to get café-level results without pretending to be a barista.

TLDR: The Quick Recipe

You’ll need:

  • 17g Bad Teddy Coffee (medium-fine grind)

  • AeroPress, paper filter, and mug

Quick steps:

  1. Place filter in the cap and rinse with hot water
  2. Add coffee to chamber and set on your mug
  3. Start timer and pour in 50g water—stir to bloom for 30 seconds
  4. Add the rest of your water to reach 200g total
  5. At 1:00, insert plunger and press slowly over 30 seconds
  6. Swirl, sip, and enjoy the cleanest cup you’ve had all week

Total time: 2–3 minutes

What Makes AeroPress Different

Tired of bitter brews and unpredictable mornings? The AeroPress solves both. Its pressure-based brewing extracts maximum flavor in minimum time. The paper filter removes grit and oils, leaving a crisp, clean cup that still has depth.

This is precision brewing without the fuss—coffee that respects your time and your taste buds.

Why It’s a Perfect Match for Flavored Coffee

Flavored coffee gets a bad rap because most people brew it wrong—or worse, buy beans that were just sprayed with artificial flavoring. Our 24-hour flavor infusion process means each bean holds real flavor within its structure, not on the surface.

The AeroPress amplifies that. Its short contact time and even extraction highlight every layer of our flavor profiles—whether that’s the vanilla-bean smoothness of French Vanilloutine or the chocolate-almond bite of Cacao-razy.

In other words, you’re not just brewing coffee—you’re unlocking flavor that lesser methods can’t touch.

The Ritual: AeroPress Brewing Guide

What You’ll Need:

  • 17g freshly ground Bad Teddy Coffee (medium-fine—think table salt)
  • 200g filtered water at 200°F
  • AeroPress, paper filter, mug, and scale
  • Timer (your phone’s perfect)

1. Prep Like You Mean It

Insert the paper filter into the AeroPress cap and rinse it with hot water to remove any papery taste. Set your AeroPress on a sturdy mug and lock it in place.

2. Add the Goods

Add your coffee grounds to the chamber. Fresh grinding matters here—our 24-hour flavoring process locks oils and aromatics into every bean, and grinding releases them right before brewing.

3. The Bloom Phase

Start your timer and pour 50g of hot water evenly over the grounds. Stir for about 10 seconds and let it bloom for 30. This releases carbon dioxide and preps the coffee for smooth extraction.

4. Fill and Press

Add the remaining 150g of water for a total of 200g. At the 1:00 mark, insert the plunger and press down slowly—aim for about 30 seconds of gentle pressure. If it hisses at the end, congrats: you nailed it.

5. Swirl, Sip, and Enjoy

Remove the AeroPress, give your mug a little swirl, and take that first sip. You’ll notice clarity, sweetness, and just the right amount of bite—proof that the method works.

Troubleshooting

  • Too Bitter? Your grind’s too fine or you pressed too slow. Coarsen it up.
  • Too Weak? Add more coffee or use less water. Aim for 1:11.8 coffee-to-water ratio next round.
  • Too Sour? Grind slightly finer or raise your water temperature to 205°F.
  • Can’t Press Easily? You may have overfilled or ground too fine. Adjust gradually.

Level Up Your AeroPress Game

The Iced Method
Brew as above, but press directly over a cup filled with ice. The hot extraction captures the flavor, and the rapid cooling locks it in—similar to the Flash Chill method but with even faster results.

The Double Shot
Use 25g coffee with 200g water for a strong, syrupy concentrate perfect for milk drinks or espresso-style iced coffee.

The Inverted Trick
Flip the AeroPress upside down before brewing. It allows a longer steep and heavier body—great for our deeper roasts or darker flavors like Chocolate Toffiend.

Why It Works

The AeroPress hits the perfect middle ground between immersion and pressure brewing. It extracts flavor evenly, filters out bitterness, and leaves you with a cup that tastes intentional.

And because it brews fast and clean, it’s the ideal showcase for what makes Bad Teddy different—fresh, high-grade beans infused with real flavor over 24 hours. Not sprayed. Not artificial. Just better coffee doing what it was born to do.
